Hanging out with the Ramay boys before the 2022-2023 edition of the Ramay-Woodland rivalry game!
Orlando Magic (NBA)
During the 2019-2020 NBA season, I advised the Orlando Magic analytics department and coaching staff as a subject matter expert on learning science and training methodologies. The aim of this project was to use principles of practice variability and practice scheduling to improve the "stickiness" of shooting practice over time and the generalizability of practice to variable game situations.
Sep. 2018 - Nov. 2019
For three seasons, I coached youth basketball at the U8 and U10 age-group levels in Junior Magic (Goldenrod), compiling a 16-9 record (0.640) during my time there. Through coaching, I hope to teach kids about teamwork, respect for others, work ethic, handling victory/defeat, appreciating opportunities and confidently pursuing them, as well as basketball fundamentals. At the end of every season, my hope is that my players will not only be improved basketball players, but also improved students, sons and daughters, and citizens of the community!
